Heat Resisting Castings Manufacturer Wallwork Cast Alloys Exhibiting at UK Metals Expo, Stand G92
Wallwork Cast Alloys was established in 1986 to supply parent company Wallwork Group with heat resistant furnace jigs, fixtures, and spares, meeting the aerospace quality requirements for heat treatment furnaces.
The foundry team will also showcase their expertise in producing castings for a wide range of industries, including wind turbines, offshore, chemical, aerospace, glass melting, decorative castings, plaques, and metal printing build plates.
Operating across four sites — Manchester, Newcastle, Birmingham, and Cambridge — Wallwork Group offers a wide range of furnace types and sizes, including sealed quench and vacuum furnaces. The need for bespoke jigs and furnace furniture has enabled the foundry team to amass deep experience in producing high-quality, reliable heat resistant castings.
There are three predominant groups of alloys used for heat treating and high-temperature applications:
- Chromium and iron-based alloys
- Chromium, nickel, and iron-based alloys
- Nickel, chromium, and iron alloys
Wallwork Cast Alloys offers casting capacities ranging from 0.5kg up to 500kg, including running systems and feeders. Castings can be manufactured as one-offs or in multiple batches, with short delivery times and competitive pricing, supported by the Wallwork Group’s nationwide commercial pickup and delivery fleet. Emergency delivery services are also available upon request.
The company maintains extensive stocks of industry-standard patterns for most major furnace manufacturers, along with bespoke patterns for individual customers. They can manufacture castings from customer-supplied patterns and drawings and offer in-house CAD/Solidworks design and bespoke pattern-making services.
Foundry Manager Alex Beck commented:
“Quality is ingrained in everything we do. Wallwork Cast Alloys conforms to ISO9001 accredited processes. Wallwork Group operates to the exacting standards of aerospace primes and component manufacturers, including Nadcap and AS/EN9100. The foundry also shares the same high service ethic as the Group.”
