The BCAST Training “Solidification and Casting of Aluminium Alloys” course, hosted by Brunel University of London, is a dynamic and in-depth 5-day CPD (Continuous Professional Development) programme designed to equip professionals in the casting and metal processing industries with the critical knowledge and practical skills to address complex challenges in casting technology.
The course will take place over 5 consecutive days, from 8th -12th September 2025, with sessions running daily from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM at Brunel University London.
Led by internationally renowned experts from the Brunel Centre for Advanced Solidification Technology (BCAST), this course offers unique insights into the latest advances in aluminium solidification and casting, including recycling, microstructure and defects control, and casting technologies.
This continuous professional development course is approved and quality assured by Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining (IoM3, UK) and equivalent of 5 credit points.
The course is endorsed and co-sponsored by the Minerals, Metals and Materials Society (TMS).
