As part of the Knight Group, Sterling Springs provides engineered component and spring manufacturing support, complementing our precision strip, wire and foil service centres.

This integrated capability enables customers to progress seamlessly from material supply through to finished and semi-finished components, supporting both development and production programmes.

Our engineered components and springs capability supports customers through:
• Design and manufacture of custom springs, clips and pressings
• Support from prototype and pre-production builds through to series and mass production
• Flexible volumes, from small batch development work to high-volume production

Component and product capability includes:
• Flat springs, leaf springs and custom spring forms
• Clips, contacts and precision pressings
• Wire forms and formed components
• Sub-assemblies incorporating in-house and subcontracted components

Tooling and manufacturing support:
• In-house tooling design and manufacture for flat springs, clips and metal pressings
• Rapid development of bespoke tooling to customer specifications
• Ability to produce prototypes and low-volume components with minimal or no tooling
• Dedicated progression tooling for higher-volume and repeat production runs
• Optional tooling maintenance and storage

Manufacturing and assembly support:
• Complete production support from customer drawing to finished part
• Sub-assembly and component assembly services, where required
• Consistent, repeatable manufacturing supported by experienced production teams
