About us

At Böllinghaus Steel, we look back with pride on a 135-year tradition in steel production. Founded in 1889 under the name Remscheider Walz- und Hammerwerke Böllinghaus & Co. KG, the traditional company is now successfully carried on by its fifth generation. Böllinghaus Steel is your specialist for hot-rolled and cold-drawn stainless steel profiles. According to international standards, we produce high-quality standards and special profiles for our worldwide customers.

Consistent customer focus and commitment to maximum quality form the focus of our operations. Whether for the chemical industry, mechanical engineering, or medical applications − Böllinghaus Steel offers custom-made and precisely tailored products of certified quality.

We currently have over 250 employees in Germany, Portugal, the USA, and Italy making us the largest employer in the region around Vieira de Leiria, Portugal. Since 2016, we have also had a representative office in Chicago, USA, and since 2020 one office location in Milan, Italy. Personal, deeply human contact with each other is what defines our corporate culture − across cultural boundaries.

Stainless Steel Profiles: Flat, Square and Hexagonal

The international demand for stainless long products and nickel alloys determine the scope of our production program. On our production lines, we roll and draw high-quality standard and special profiles. Whether for the chemical industry, mechanical engineering, or medical devices − Böllinghaus Steel offers stainless steel profiles for technically demanding applications. At Böllinghaus Steel we produce standard and special profiles according to international standards. The portfolio includes stainless flat, square, and hexagonal profiles – hot-rolled and cold-drawn. We also manufacture tailor-made solutions of the highest quality according to customer requirements. Dimensions of hot-rolled stainless steel profiles: square: 10 to 100 mm; flat: width 12 to 200 mm, thickness 3 to 80 mm; special profiles according to customer drawing; other dimensions on request. Dimensions of cold-drawn stainless steel profiles: square: 8 to 100 mm; hexagonal: 8 to 100 mm; flat: width 12 to 200 mm, thickness 3 to 80 mm, other dimensions on request. In addition, custom-made products and special profiles can be provided according to exact customer specifications.

Stainless Steel Special Profiles

At Böllinghaus Steel, we produce custom-made products and special profiles in close cooperation with our customers, flexibly and to proven quality standards. In close teamwork with our customers, we produce precisely fitting products of the desired grades, dimensions, and processing techniques, which are tailored to the individual needs of our customers. Consistent customer orientation and an obligation to ensure maximum quality are the focus of our commitment. Various processing options are available: restricted tolerances on request, naturally hard or soft annealed, hot-rolled, annealed, etched, straightened, cold-drawn, and production length or fixed length on request. We can saw, grind, sandblast, and draw in our facilities. Available steels include austenite, ferrite, martensite, duplex, and special steels. Other steels are available on request.
