Steel Service Krefeld GmbH is an exciting example of medium-sized companies which have digitalized its entire logistics. The model of success bases on online sales of steel products to industrial clients. We place great emphasis on service.

We are based in the western part of Germany near Düsseldorf. Furthermore, we keep stocks in Montreal, Canada and Sheffield for the british market.

In Europe, we have held the status of a registered CBAM importer since the end of 2025 and are able to continue importing steels. Quotas and protective tariffs are nothing new to us, but they are becoming increasingly important in the context of trade barriers, particularly when protective tariffs of up to 50% are imposed.

Thanks to our many years of experience in the steel industry, we have built up a strong network of steel mills and production facilities around the world. In recent years, we have been able to take on representation of exciting mills that can supply special alloys ranging from billets and forged ingots to ground bars. Important special alloys include nickel alloys 625 and 718, as well as grade 5 titanium.

SSK offers the right metal powder for every additive manufacturing process. Whether for 3D printing, metal injection moulding, laser cladding, plasma spraying or even PM steel production – we supply high-quality metal powder to various technical specifications and with short lead times. We would particularly like to highlight our stocks of 316L and 1.2709 metal powders for 3D printing.

As well as a shortage of raw materials for processing, we also identified a lack of suitable and affordable machinery for manufacturing in Europe. For this reason, we also represent manufacturers of milling, grinding and sawing machines, waterjet cutting machines, as well as manufacturers of 3D printers.
