ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Press Operator, you will be responsible for the efficient and safe operation of our aluminium extrusion presses. Your role will be central to ensuring that customer expectations are met and exceeded through consistent output, attention to quality, and collaboration with your team. Please note, this role currently operates on a weekly rotating shift pattern, that attracts a shift allowance payment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
– Operate aluminium extrusion presses in a safe, efficient, and compliant manner.
– Understand and manage key extrusion parameters, including temperatures and production instructions.
– Follow production orders carefully to ensure accurate and high-quality output.
– Monitor press performance and take prompt action to address issues or deviations.
– Communicate effectively with Team Leaders, Maintenance, and other shifts to ensure smooth handovers and minimal downtime.
– Proactively identify opportunities for improving quality and reducing scrap.
– Comply with all company procedures, including Health & Safety and Environmental standards.
– Maintain a clean and well-organised work environment and promote good housekeeping.
– Treat all colleagues with dignity and respect as part of a supportive team culture.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING
– Previous experience of working within an aluminium extrusion environment is essential.
– Strong understanding of extrusion processes, machine parameters, and safety requirements.
– Ability to follow standard operating procedures and production instructions.
– Clear communicator who is proactive, reliable, and detail-focused.
– Experience training or mentoring others is desirable but not essential.
