In 2025, Fothershield introduced high-specification, extreme performance EV fire blankets that not only eliminate and supress lithium battery fires up to 1600 degrees, but provide safe, easy to apply and effective supression of fire to minimise damage to neighbouring vehicles and property.
Available in three sizes, from a portable pouch-sized carry bag for small lithium batteries found in e-bikes, e-scooters, drones and power-banks, through to an extra large 6x8m blanket that can be easily and quickly deployed over a large electric car or small van.
Rigorously tested, specialist fabrics with a trademarked Graflex finish, Fothershield EV Fire Blankets have CE and UKCA Certification and are made at TBA’s specialist textile site in Rochdale which has over 160 years’ experience manufacturing textiles designed to perform under the most extreme and challenging conditions.
