Raising Awareness of Psychological Health and Safety in the Workplace
Organisations across all sectors are facing a growing challenge: the rising impact of poor mental health on employees, business performance and overall safety. To support employers in addressing this critical issue, SGS is hosting an awareness webinar focusing on ISO 45003:2021, on June 30, 2026, the first global standard for managing psychological health and safety at work.
The session explores the realities of mental health in the workplace, including burnout, presenteeism and the organisational risks associated with unmanaged psychosocial factors. Participants will gain a clear understanding of how mental ill health affects safety outcomes, productivity and long term business resilience.
The webinar also introduces ISO 45003:2021 and explains how it aligns with ISO 45001, offering practical and proportionate ways to embed wellbeing into existing occupational health and safety management systems. Attendees will learn how to identify psychosocial risks, build the business case for proactive mental health management, and create healthier, more supportive working environments.
Key agenda topics include: the meaning of mental health, the organisational impact of wellbeing, creating a well workplace, and the role of ISO 45003 in strengthening safety culture.
This initiative reinforces the growing need for organisations to prioritise psychological health and safety as a core component of sustainable performance.
