Valast® 500 is coming

Tata Steel Valast® Wear Resistant Steel

The Valast® wear-resistant steel product family is being gradually expanded with steel sheets with a typical hardness of 500 HBW: Valast® 500.

A hardness of 470-530 HBW is already guaranteed for thicknesses of 4 to 6 mm.

Valast® stands for wear-resistant steel plate from hot-rolled wide strip. The plates have a very good and regular surface, as you are used to from Tata Steel Ijmuiden Netherlands. In addition, the dimensional tolerances and flatness are superior.

Specialty Steel has a wide range of Valast® 400 and Valast® 450 in thicknesses of 3 to 10 mm available from stock. Valast® 500 will certainly be added.
