The first stage in this process will be to undertake an initial gap analysis in the form of a CBAM discovery workshop, details as laid out below.
This proposal sets out the CBAM discovery workshop as follows.
1. The workshop to start with a tour of your facility, including an understanding of current processes.
2. This would be followed by a half-day workshop, facilitated by Auditel with key stakeholders in attendance (covering Compliance, Operations, Procurement, Finance, and Senior Leadership Team)
3. Outline agenda for the workshop;
a. An overview of the EU CBAM, to provide all attendees with a good understanding of the regulation;
b. An examination of the requirements to calculate Specific Embedded Emissions, focussing on steel;
c. A round-table discussion on current practices; and
d. An initial gap analysis discussion, and the support required to comply with CBAM.
4. The objective of the workshop is to provide key stakeholders with an understanding of CBAM requirements, what this means for you, and the work required to achieve compliance.
5. We will agree any next steps at the end of the workshop. Following the workshop Auditel will deliver a fully costed proposal outlining how we can further support you with achieving CBAM compliance, aligned to your specific needs.
