The steel industry accounts for 7-9% of the global CO2 emissions. Therefore, small improvements already have a huge impact for our environment. As a family-owned company, Van Leeuwen takes its responsibility for the environment and society to contribute to a sustainable future of our company and the world. This is integrated in our strategy. As market leader, we take the lead in setting the standard for more sustainable steel products to help our customers reduce their CO2 footprint.
To achieve this, we work together with innovative steel mills who have the same mission, in order to improve the sustainability of production processes and end products together. This results in building a stock of CO2 reduced pipe and tube material, which we sell under our own sustainability brand Van Leeuwen Impact.
