Tongs for lifting sheet metal packs in a flat position on a pallet, mainly with electro-mechanical drive. The tong should be positioned on the long side of the sheet metal pack and coupled to it by closing the gripping legs. ELECTRO-MECHANICAL DRIVE:operation of the tong is based on a pinion-rack mechanism where the pinion, driven by a gearmotor, moves the rack attached to the gripping legs. By doing so, the tong is opened and closed.Usually used in heavy working conditions and intense movements.
