BCAST – The Brunel Centre for Advanced Solidification Technology - is an internationally leading academic research centre dedicated to both fundamental and applied research on the solidification of metallic materials, providing advanced solutions in recycling and lifecycle management for circular economy, driving sustainability and efficiency.
BCAST is a major global driving force for providing new knowledge, new processing technologies, new materials and their industrial applications in the area of light metals, as well as for training future leaders in the field of metallurgy.
BCAST aims to be an international leader in liquid metal engineering in order to underpin and strengthen solidification research, strategic technology developments and user-led industrial applications. We conduct fundamental research to generate world-class knowledge in solidification science. We develop and exploit innovative and sustainable technologies and enable the metal casting industry and its customers to improve their competitiveness in global markets.
