Advanced Solidification Science. Applied Across Aerospace, Automotive, and Manufacturing

BCAST Industrial Services is the commercial and technical services arm of the Brunel Centre for Advanced Solidification Technology at Brunel University of London: one of the world's leading research groups in solidification science and light metals.

We work with aerospace, automotive, and manufacturing organisations that need more than a testing service: they need a technical partner who understands materials at the microstructure level and can translate that into better engineering decisions.

Our work is rooted in solidification science, liquid metal engineering, and metallic alloy recycling. Supported by EPSRC and EU funding, and with long-term industrial partners including Constellium and JLR, we bring a depth of applied expertise most commercial services cannot replicate.

We offer two engagement models: Project Specific, structured around defined challenges such as alloy development, defect investigation, or microstructure analysis; and Flexi Approach, providing time-based access to our facilities and knowledge hub.

Our 4,000m² campus facilities include the Advanced Metals Casting Centre (AMCC), Advanced Metal Processing Centre (AMPC), and the Future Metallurgy Centre for advanced materials characterisation.
