Peter Quinn is Director, Health, Safety, Sustainability & Environment at Tata Steel UK. He leads a team of specialists responsible for compliance, policy and strategy across Tata Steel UK. Over the past 20 years he has been active in engaging with the UK government and the EU institutions to help shape policy in the fields of environment and climate change. He chairs the Environment Committee of Eurofer, the European Iron and Steel Confederation, as well as the UK Steel Association Environment and Climate Committees. Peter has always been passionate about environmental affairs. With over thirty years in the steel industry he remains more convinced than ever of the positive role that steel plays and will increasingly play in helping to solve a series of 21st Century challenges, not least those emerging from climate change.
