Sound Damped Steel (SDS) manufactures highly damped steel, stainless steel, galvanised steel and aluminium that absorbs vibration instead of ringing like conventional sheet metal.
Used in machine guards, hoppers, covers, enclosures, panels and OEM products, SDS materials offer a simple way to design noise reduction directly into the component – often without the complexity, bulk or access problems associated with conventional acoustic treatments.
Our damped metals can be used in new designs or retrofitted to existing machinery, and are available as sheets, bespoke sizes and ready-cut components.
