Retro-Damp Self-Adhesive Vibration Dampers

Retro-Damp self-adhesive dampers are designed to reduce vibration and noise from existing sheet-metal panels, machinery and structures.

The dampers are bonded directly to the existing surface, creating a highly damped laminate that dissipates vibration instead of allowing the panel to ring and radiate sound. They are particularly useful where replacing or redesigning the original structure would be difficult, expensive or disruptive.

Retro-Damp can be used on machine guards, covers, enclosures, ducts, hoppers, fan and compressor panels, press guards and many other industrial applications. Dampers are available in steel or aluminium, typically from 0.5 mm to 4 mm thick, and can be supplied as standard sheets or as ready-cut shaped kits for straightforward installation.

They provide a rugged, practical way to introduce effective noise and vibration control to existing plant with minimal impact on access, maintenance or operation.
