Deeksha Sampath is a Technology Transfer Engineer as part of the SME Group, WMG, University of Warwick. With a background in mechanical engineering and sustainable manufacturing she applies her technical skillset to engage with stakeholders from a wide range of manufacturing businesses.
She has worked on multiple projects relating to implementation of Net Zero strategies within businesses, improve energy usage as well as material characterization methods within SMEs. As a member of the Institute of Engineering Technology (IET), she has a keen interest in supporting under-represented groups pursue STEM careers and is an active member of the University’s EDI Committee.
Deeksha is also a certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Practitioner and is in the process of obtaining her professional registration with the Institute for Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA).
Before joining the SME group, she received training from Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) companies in India involved in the Aerospace, Nuclear and Steel industries allowing her to gain a well-rounded understanding of complex multidisciplinary processes in the Indian and UK industrial markets.
