After finishing a bachelor as a media designer in Eupen (Belgium) and Cologne I started very early my first company in 2001 with 21 years. In 2004 I had my first contact to the aluminium industry as a junior sales representative for Alcoa Europe. After several joint ventures between Alcoa, Sapa and Hydro and different management positions my actual role since 2024 is Vice President West (Managing Director of 9 plants with 110 k tons extrusion, 160 k tons of billet production, 1,200 FTE’s, 0,7 Billion € turnover) with a strong proven track record of turning around loss giving units to best in class performers regarding EBIT, Cash Flow and safety. Several management categories awards (safety, best operational performance, best of the best, commercial excellence, working capital award, Engagement HR, etc ..). I serve for Norsk Hydro ASA additionally in the boards of director in The Netherlands, Belgium, UK and as a director of the national federation of employers in Eastbelgium. Boardmember in the Dutch, Belgian and German Aluminium Association. I am the president of the Belgian liberal Party PFF/MR.

I invest a lot of time and efforts in networking and high level education, just one example is my participation in the Insead TGM Course in 2015 – 2016 in France, US and Singapore. Lifelong learning and giving access to others to important business inside is very important to me.

One of the biggest milestones in my career was to be the first aluminium extrusion company in the world certified with the ASI (Aluminium Stewardship Initiative) standard performance certificate 2018 in the Netherlands. Since then I am recognized as a specialist (& international speaker) and spearhead to drive our sustainability agenda, and to marry sustainability and sales, which is a wonderful and powerful connection.
