Adrian Tautscher is an experienced professional in the field of Materials Engineering, with a career spanning over two decades. Since 2002, he has been a valuable member of Jaguar Land Rover, focusing on Sustainable Aluminium Strategies. In this role, he has successfully led initiatives to promote aluminium recycling, minimize downgrading, and reduce environmental impact through innovative approaches.

Notably, Adrian has served as the project leader for ‘REALCAR’ (REcycled ALuminium CAR), conducting research on high recycled sheet aluminium from closed-loop sources. He has also been involved in the ‘REALCAR 2’ project, exploring opportunities to utilise recycled aluminium from post-consumer and End-of-Life vehicles. These initiatives involve developing recycling strategies and new recycled tolerant aluminium alloys for future Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles.

Before his role at Jaguar Land Rover, Adrian held the position of Group Leader for the Materials Engineering Body-in-White/Corrosion Teams, where he played a key role in introducing new materials into the latest aluminium architectures.

In 2017, Adrian joined Impression Technologies, contributing to the roadmap for lightweight vehicles through the application of hot-formed aluminium sheet HFQ Technology.

Throughout his career, Adrian has gained valuable experience at renowned organizations such as Lotus Engineering and British Steel. He holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering, further enhancing his expertise in the field.

Adrian Tautscher’s extensive background and contributions in Materials Engineering, specifically in sustainable aluminium strategies, recycling, and lightweight vehicle technologies, make him a highly accomplished professional in his field.
