An architect by profession, I have worked in both public and private sectors and have experience of retail, rail, residential, institutional (prisons, health and education) most recently concentrating on platform construction and Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DfMA).
In my work within Tata Steel (formerly Corus) I was part of a multidisciplinary team that created steel intensive building solutions including the first post-tensioned steel structure in the UK for the Hyde Park Dextro Energy Triathlon in 2009, 2010 and subsequent Olympic trial events.
I was also part of Corus’ modular building business Living Solutions and have built accommodation for the MoD ( the first BREEAM excellent modular building in the UK) and hotel chains using this product.
I have considerable site experience with modular, DfMA and platforms and genuinely enjoy the problem solving this involves and the ability to get hands on.
